We extended our stay here at Twin Pines to have a day of catch-up. Laundry was first on my list and I headed into Lander to the Laundromat while Jeff stayed behind with the BP doing some organizing of his stuff as well as a check-up for BP. We were pretty much done by 2 pm so we decided to drive the "Loop" which starts at Sinks Canyon, heads up,up,up and around the mountains surrounding Lander and ends up pretty much back at the campground. It was an awesome drive (majority of which was one lane, dirt, and steeply ascending!). We even saw several mule deer (they were female so brave enough to come out during hunting season), but no elk, moose or bear. All of which I was really hoping for.
After completing the Loop we decided to drive to Riverton, about 30 miles away but home of a super Walmart. Certain things you just have to get at a Walmart! But actually, being in Riverton also gave us the opportunity to get more chores done...
1) All photos on camera (385!) downloaded onto CD
2) BB washed and buffed
3) Anniversary dinner at REALLY good restaurant
4) Gas topped off for departure tommorrow
So it was a good day, great anniversary (#2), and we are refreshed and ready for about a 5 hour drive through the Tetons tommorrow, which may be a bit tense as there is a 10% grade at times. Once again, glad I am not the DD!!!
